The blanking die should be prepared in the form of a vector file and saved in the PDF format. The document can contain only elements to be cut out. Check out in the preview mode if there are any lines, dots and other similar objects left in the file. They are unnecessary in the blanking die, if any, please make sure they have been deleted.
The file with the blanking die should have layers that are properly named and placed in the correct order:
1. Register - (the layer with markers for the plotter – leave empty – a printing house will complete markers)
2. Crease - (the layer with elements to be scored)
3. Thru-cut (the layer with elements to be cut out)
4. Route (the layer for milling)
Please, do not mark scoring with a dotted line. All layers should consist of solid lines unless they are to be cut out as perforated lines. The “Register” layer should be always included in the file.
Other layers should be present only if required.
